Structured cabling means a planned system instead of individual cables run as needs arise. Every desk outlet, access point, camera and door controller is wired back to a patch panel in a rack, using consistent cable types, routes and labels. Any outlet can then be connected to any service simply by moving a patch lead.
The alternative is familiar in older offices: loose cables across ceiling tiles, unlabelled leads in a cupboard and nobody sure which port serves which desk. Faults take hours to trace and every office change means pulling new cable. Good cabling outlives several generations of the network switches plugged into it.
VOWTECH installs cabling for data, voice, Wi-Fi, CCTV, attendance terminals and access control as one coordinated system. Where a new or refurbished space needs a comms room, the cabling is planned together with the server room setup, so rack space, power and cable entry are right from the start.
Most installations combine all three. Which category of cable and which type of fibre is used depends on distances, speeds and the environment.
Twisted-pair cabling from the rack to each outlet is the workhorse of office networks. It carries data and, with Power over Ethernet, also powers phones, access points and cameras over the same cable.
Fibre links connect floors, buildings and comms rooms where copper distance limits are exceeded or higher speeds are required. It is also immune to electrical interference, which suits industrial sites.
Inside the rack, cabling decides how quickly equipment can be swapped and faults traced. We terminate onto patch panels, dress leads through cable managers and keep power and data apart.

Trunking, conduit, cable tray and basket are installed so cables are supported, protected and kept clear of power lines and heat sources.
Cables are pulled without kinks or over-tension, terminated on faceplates and patch panels to a consistent wiring scheme, and neatly bundled.
Every copper link is tested for continuity, wire map, length and performance, and fibre links for loss. Results are handed over with the documentation.
Outlets, panels and cables carry matching labels, and you receive an as-built drawing and port schedule showing where every cable goes.
Existing installations are tidied: dead cables removed, racks re-patched and labelled, and damaged or undersized links replaced with minimal disruption.
