VOWTECH supplies and installs RFID access control: card and fob readers, door controllers, electric locks and the software that decides who may open which door and when. Every entry is logged, lost cards are cancelled in seconds, and the system can work alongside your attendance devices.
RFID access control replaces metal keys with cards or fobs that carry a small radio chip. Held near a reader, the card is identified, the controller checks whether that person is allowed through that door at that time, and the lock releases or stays shut. The decision takes a moment, and it is recorded every time.
The practical advantages show up when something changes. A lost key means changing a lock; a lost card is simply deleted. A new starter gets the doors their role needs. A cleaner has access only in the evening. Where a card alone is not enough for sensitive rooms, readers can be combined with biometric devices so a fingerprint or face is required as well.
Door access and time attendance often use the same cards and sometimes the same hardware. VOWTECH, based in Abu Dhabi and serving Dubai and the wider UAE, can plan the two together with an attendance system installation, so staff carry one credential and the punch-in and punch-out machine at the entrance shares its user list with the doors.
Access control scales in steps. Choosing the right starting point avoids paying twice when the system grows.
A self-contained reader and lock for one door, programmed at the device. A sensible fit for a single server room, store or small office entrance where detailed reporting is not essential.
Readers connect to door controllers that report to central software. Users, access groups and schedules are managed from a PC, and every door event lands in one searchable log.
Multi-mode readers that accept a card, a fingerprint, a face or a required combination. Used where a borrowed card must not be enough, such as server rooms, cash offices and stores.
An access system is part electrical, part mechanical and part IT. We deal with all three so the door works as one unit.
Each door is checked for material, frame type, swing direction, closer condition and escape route status, because these decide which lock and reader will actually work on it.
Entry readers, exit readers or push-to-exit buttons are fitted and wired back to door controllers housed in a secure location with their own power supply and battery backup.
Magnetic locks, electric strikes or drop bolts are matched to the door, with door position sensors and emergency break-glass release units where required.
Cards or fobs are issued and enrolled against named users, and access groups are built around departments and roles so permissions are granted by group, not door by door.
Time zones restrict when each group may enter, doors can unlock automatically during reception hours, and alerts are raised for doors forced or held open.
Links to the fire alarm for automatic release, to CCTV so events can be matched with video, to attendance software and to barriers or turnstiles, depending on the equipment in use.
Doors are brought online one at a time so nobody is locked out, or in, while work is under way.
We list every door to be controlled, who uses it and how it must behave in an emergency.
Reader type, locks, controllers, cabling routes and software are specified and quoted.
Cabling, controllers, readers and locks are fitted and each door is tested mechanically.
Users, cards, access groups, schedules and alerts are set up with your administrator.
Every door, exit route and power-fail behaviour is tested before the system is signed off.
The case is less about technology than about control, accountability and the cost of changing locks.
A lost card or a departing employee is removed from the system immediately, with no locks to change.
Logs show which card opened which door and when, which helps with investigations and audits.
Staff, contractors and visitors each reach only the areas and hours their role requires.
VOWTECH installs the readers, the cabling and the network and software behind them, with support available 24/7.
